Elegant Øyo folding knife with sandblasted 8CR steel blade and walnut handle for outdoor & everyday use.

We prefer knives that marry style and rugged practicality. This is the Øyo Tinden folding knife, with a 90 mm 8CR steel blade, full tang, and a walnut wood handle. It weighs about 155 g and extends to 210 mm when open.

It opens one-handedly with a fingerprint thumb-flip and locks securely. I’ve carried this knife on many hikes; the blade holds sharp, and the balance feels just right.

I find the Øyo Tinden Folding Knife to be a versatile companion for both wilderness and urban tasks. The sandblasted 8CR steel offers good corrosion resistance plus edge-holding ability. The walnut handle gives a warm, tactile grip and adds visual elegance. With an overall length of 210 mm open and 90 mm blade, the reach is enough for many cutting tasks without being unwieldy. The weight of 155 g gives a solid feel without being too heavy in a pack.

It uses ball-bearings for smooth opening, plus a thumb-flip mechanism for single-hand operation. The automatic locking mechanism gives confidence the blade stays safely open. It includes a belt clip and leather cord so I can secure it to gear.

Picture sitting by a creek, filleting or whittling tools, or slicing rope for camp – this knife responds well, cleanly, and with enough heft.

If you’re after a knife that performs in the field and looks refined at home, this is a strong choice. Stock tends to move; if this fits your style, it’s worth getting when you can.
