Privacy policy
1. Controller
The controller for the processing of personal data on this website is:
Dolk ApS, Hørmarken 11, 4140 Borup, Denmark
CVR 43568396 · Telephone +45 30 630 630 · E-mail info@dolkoutdoor.com
This policy explains which data we process, why, on what legal basis, and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Danish Data Protection Act.
2. Visiting the website (hosting)
The website is operated on infrastructure provided by Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc., USA; content is delivered via data centres including in the EU). When you visit, technically necessary connection data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) is processed to display the site and protect it against attacks. Legal basis: Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (operation and security). Depending on the configuration, data may also be processed in data centres outside the EU; such transfers are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses. Connection data is stored only for a short time.
3. Orders and performance of the contract
When you place an order, we process your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, the items ordered (including any engraving text) and payment details in order to perform the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to comply with our bookkeeping obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR). Data is kept for as long as the law requires; under Danish law this is generally five years after the end of the financial year.
We do not receive your full card details; they are processed by the payment provider.
4. Recipients and service providers
- Payments: card payments are processed by QuickPay A/S (Denmark). PayPal payments are processed by PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. (Luxembourg). Klarna payments (where available) are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (Ireland) together with Klarna; for Klarna payments, Klarna Bank AB (publ) (Sweden) may carry out a credit check. These providers process payment data and apply their own fraud-prevention measures (Article 6(1)(b) and (f) GDPR); their own privacy policies apply in addition.
- Warehouse and shipping: to deliver your order, we pass your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address to our warehouse PakkecenterNORD (Denmark), to the shipping intermediary Homerunner ApS (Denmark) and to the carrier CoolRunner and the carrier’s local delivery partners, so that your order is delivered and you receive delivery notifications.
- E-mail: we send order and shipping confirmations and our newsletter via Resend (Resend, Inc., USA; transfers based on standard contractual clauses or the Data Privacy Framework).
Where required, we have concluded data processing agreements with these providers. We do not pass your data on to third parties for their own advertising purposes.
5. Cookies, analytics and advertising (only with your consent)
When you first visit, we ask whether we may use analytics and advertising services. Without your consent they are not loaded. Strictly necessary functions (for example the shopping basket and your cookie choice) are stored in your browser’s local storage; they are required for the shop to work. You can refuse as easily as you can accept.
- Analytics (consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR): Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Limited) and PostHog (servers in the EU), to analyse how the shop is used and to improve our offering. When a purchase is completed, we send order data (basket contents, amount, campaign source) from our server to these services; without your consent this does not happen.
- Advertising (consent): Google Ads (Google Ireland Limited) and Meta Pixel / Conversions API (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited), to measure and optimise our campaigns. Purchase data and, in hashed form, e-mail address, name, address and telephone number, as well as browser identifiers, may then be sent to these providers.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal. Transfers to the USA are based on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.
6. Newsletter
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your e-mail address to send you offers and news (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every e-mail. We keep the data until you withdraw your consent. To be able to prove consent, we store the time stamps of your sign-up and confirmation (double opt-in) and your e-mail address (Article 6(1)(c) and (f) GDPR).
7. Reviews and contact
When you submit a review or contact us, we process your data to handle your request (Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR). Reviews are published under the name you provide.
8. Withdrawal function
Through the “Withdraw from contract” function we process the data you enter (name, e-mail address, order number) in order to handle and confirm your withdrawal (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Article 15), rectification (16), erasure (17), restriction of processing (18), data portability (20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (21). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, write to us at info@dolkoutdoor.com. We have not appointed a data protection officer; the contact point is the controller named above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Danish Datatilsynet (Carl Jacobsens Vej 35, 2500 Valby, Denmark, www.datatilsynet.dk). You may also contact the data protection authority in your own EU country; a list is available from the European Data Protection Board (edpb.europa.eu).
10. Obligation to provide data and automated decisions
Concluding a sales contract requires your name, address and e-mail address; without them we cannot process the order. There is no automated individual decision-making, including profiling, within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR.
11. Changes
We update this policy when our services or the law change. The version published here applies.
