We have used the Øyo Snaps Wooden Cup in the field for after-meal toasts and light sipping. It is a fixed wooden cup type made from rubber wood with a leather cord. It has a volume of 50 ml, weighs about 41 g, and is handy to carry or hang.

The benefit is having a natural-material, quaint cup that adds character and is plastic-free. One limit is that it must be hand washed and oil treated occasionally to stay in good shape.

I clipped it to my pack and every time I reached for it I felt a small touch of tradition.
