Øyo fixed-blade carbon steel knife made for tough jobs with safety features.
We’ve tried the Øyo carbon steel knife with sheath in workshop, garage, and cabin settings and find it delivers serious utility. Blade steel is carbon steel, blade length is 100 mm, total length is 210 mm, and weight is about 121 g. The handle is impact-resistant plastic with a finger guard which gives safety when working heavily or in slippery conditions.
It comes with a practical plastic sheath that includes a belt clip so I can carry it easily or hang it for access. The carbon steel gives excellent edge retention but requires care to prevent rust. From my experience outdoors tools like this rugged, honest, work-oriented are lifesavers when every cut counts.

Description
I’ve used the Øyo carbon steel knife for tasks from stripping bark, cutting rope, to carving small pieces of wood in damp conditions. The carbon steel takes a sharp edge and holds it well; when it starts dulling I can touch it up with a fine stone quickly. The finger guard in the plastic handle helps prevent my hand from slipping toward the blade when I’m cutting forcefully or in greasy or wet conditions.
At 121 g it feels solid without being cumbersome, 210 mm overall gives enough reach to work comfortably but still control the blade precisely. The plastic sheath is rugged, light, and secure. I often hang it in the workshop or clip it to my belt so it’s always there when needed. For care I dry it thoroughly after use, oil lightly to prevent rust, keep sheath clean and dry, and sharpen using oil stone or fine grit to preserve the carbon steel.
If you need a reliable “just gets the job done” tool, this is one durable, simple, effective, with safety built in. Many folks keep one in their glove box, toolkit, or cabin for emergencies.
