Cozy Øyo wooden hiking cup with elk motif and leather cord for rustic outdoor and home use.
We have tried the Øyo Hyggekoppen Wooden Cup on trail mornings and quiet cabin evenings. It is a wooden cup of fixed type with volume 150 ml, material rubber wood (gummitre), and one key spec weight ~144 g. I trust Øyo for craftsmanship and durability honed over generations.
The cup gives warmth to every sip whether it is water from a stream or hot tea by the fire. It is solid but must be hand-washed and dried properly to avoid cracks. I have hung mine from my pack by its leather cord so it was always within reach yet safely airing out.

Description
I have used the Hyggekoppen on several camping trips and at home when I want something natural in hand. The rubber wood (gummitre) feels pleasant and has a natural grain that makes each cup unique. The elk motif adds character and a sense of wilderness. The leather cord (skinnsnor) is very handy to hang the cup on my backpack so it does not collect dirt or get misplaced.
With a volume of 150 ml and weight about 144 g, this cup is light enough for hiking yet sturdy for daily use. Because rubber wood can dry out or crack if neglected, I hand wash with mild soap then dry with a towel or let it air dry completely. If the surface becomes rough, a light sand with fine sandpaper helps. Applying a neutral food-safe oil overnight restores moisture.
If you enjoy simple gear with character and want a cup that blends utility with beauty, Hyggekoppen is a great choice. Don’t wait too long because seasonal stocks often sell out.
