Description
I have carried the Dovre knife through forest, over ridges, and into rain. The blade with its Nordic concave (or scandi-style) grind gives clean slicing and the premium steel holds up and can be sharpened well in the field. With a blade length of 90 mm and total length of 210 mm, it gives good reach without being bulky. At 174 g, it balances well on belt or pack.
The walnut handle is shaped for comfort and grip. The finger guard (or finger stop) helps prevent slips when working wet or when pressure is high. The brown leather sheath is tough and keeps the blade safe. If I’ve been out overnight, I dry the sheath and oil the handle to keep wood from cracking or swelling.
