Helle Fossekallen outdoor knife with 12C27 steel and Masur Birch handle.
We know the Helle Fossekallen as a compact fixed outdoor knife that carries the same style as the larger Helle Eggen but in a handier size. It comes with a 90 mm blade in polished 12C27 stainless steel and a total length of 205 mm. At just 87 g, it is light in the pack but reliable in the hand. Folded length not applicable. The handle in Masur Birch has a strong finger guard that prevents slipping, even when wet or greasy. The leather sheath with snap closure makes carry simple and secure.
I have used this knife when fishing by the lake, where its balance made cleaning trout both precise and safe.

Description
I like the Fossekallen because it blends elegance with real-world usefulness. The polished 12C27 stainless steel offers toughness and lasting sharpness, ideal for field dressing or finer carving tasks. At 205 mm overall and with a 90 mm blade, the knife strikes a good balance between control and reach. With a weight of 87 g, it is light enough to keep on your belt without noticing it until needed.
The Masur Birch handle is oiled, giving it a natural feel that warms quickly in the hand. The built-in finger guard adds safety, a detail that matters when working in cold or wet conditions. The hand stitched leather sheath fits snugly and stays secure with a snap button.
The Fossekallen is a tool for those who prefer a smaller but capable companion outdoors. Whether hiking, hunting, or cooking by the campfire, it performs with quiet reliability. Stock is limited, and once you try it, you see why it has a loyal following.
