I’ve tested similar fixed blades in harsh conditions, and what counts is edge geometry, handle comfort, and how the knife behaves under real use. The Vertebrae delivers with a blade length of about 61 mm, drop-point shape with flat grind, and stone-washed 7Cr17MoV steel. The full tang and green GRN/rubberized grip give good control even in wet or slippery conditions. The overall length is roughly 163 mm; it’s compact enough for a belt sheath or pack carry yet long enough for serious wood prep.
It comes with a durable polymer or glass-filled nylon sheath and a lanyard hole. The blade edge is plain, good for slicing, chopping, and camp tasks. Weight is about 181 g. Edge retention is moderate; steel is not premium tool steel, so sharpening will be needed more often if used hard. But corrosion resistance is decent for a stainless of this class.
This is a strong choice if you want a fixed outdoor blade that isn’t over size or over price. If you pack it out now, you’ll have something useful on trail tomorrow.
