I’ve used this Exo-Mod Caper during morning game dressing and campsite prep. The 83 mm 7Cr17MoV blade, with a stone-washed finish, resists corrosion well and holds a decent edge for moderate field use. The full-tang skeletonized handle reduces weight and adds grip surface, while still feeling sturdy in my hand when making delicate cuts.
The bright orange grip (glass-filled nylon/polypropylene) gives confidence when operating in woods or twilight. The sheath is modular (snap-together system in the Exo-Mod series), so you can attach or stack it with others in its series if you carry multiple tools. It’s great for skinning, dressing game, small camp tasks, or as a backup fixed blade.
Care: I clean off blood/sap immediately, dry the knife well, and oil the pivot edge. Sharpening on a fine stone followed by stropping brings back the cutting sharpness. Because the blade isn’t super thick, bending or levering should be avoided.
If you want a reliable blade for detailed outdoor tasks, this is a solid pick. If you need heavy duty chopping, you’ll want something with a thicker spine and heavier build.
