Folding camp saw by Gerber with a 305 mm blade and four-pivot flat fold design for safe transport.
We’ve used saws in many bushcraft and camp settings and the Freescape Camp Saw is one that solves a lot of packing problems. It is a folding hand saw with a 305 mm blade, grippy handle, sturdy frame steel, and a design that folds completely flat for transport. I’ve found myself more likely to carry it because its folded size is much more manageable.
The benefits are clear: full-length cutting surface when open, compact and safe when closed. The trade-offs are weight (it’s not ultralight) and for really large logs you’ll need multiple passes.
I tested similar saws cutting kindling and small logs; this one holds up well.

Description
I’ve carried this saw on several multi-day trips and what stands out is how the four pivots let it fold flat without ever removing the blade. There’s no risk of losing parts in the wild. The blade is 305 mm long, suitable for cutting up to about 108 mm diameter wood efficiently.
The handle uses glass-filled nylon (GFN) with rubber overmold grips which stay secure even when wet. In open position the dimensions are about 373 mm × 167 mm × 28 mm, and closed it is about 351 mm × 46 mm × 28 mm. The whole saw weighs approximately 420 g. Steel is listed as 2Cr13, a stainless grade with decent toughness; blade replacement is easy since it accepts standard 12-inch blades.
You’ll feel the weight in your pack, but double-folded it becomes low profile and easier to strap. If you often gather firewood or need a reliable saw for trail maintenance, this one is worth considering before they run out.
