Buck Ranger Skinner 112 folding knife with 420HC steel blade and leather sheath.
We all know how a folding knife can become a trusted tool in the outdoors. The Buck Ranger Skinner 112 has a 76 mm blade in 420HC steel, an overall length of 184 mm, a folded length of 112 mm, and a weight of 167 g.
The wooden handle with brass bolsters gives a secure grip and classic look, while the leather sheath keeps it safe on the belt. It feels heavier than some compact folders, but that adds confidence in the hand.
I once carried it on a boar hunt, and the size and balance were perfect for quick work without feeling bulky.

Description
Through the years I have carried many folding knives, but the Buck Ranger Skinner 112 stands out for its balance and heritage. The 420HC stainless steel blade has good edge retention and is easy to sharpen in the field. With a Rockwell hardness around 58 HRC, it offers a mix of durability and sharpness that hunters appreciate.
At 76 mm, the blade is compact yet wide enough for controlled skinning, while the 184 mm total length gives room for a solid grip. The folded size of 112 mm makes it pocket-friendly, and at 167 g, it has enough weight to inspire trust without dragging down your kit. The wood handle with brass ends is shaped for secure handling, and the lockback design ensures safety when in use.
The knife comes with a leather sheath that attaches easily to a belt. I remember one wet morning breaking down a deer, and the grip and edge held firm through the task. It is knives like this that make Buck such a trusted name among hunters.
If you are looking for a folding knife that combines tradition, strength, and real field utility, the Buck Ranger Skinner 112 is a safe bet.
