Lightweight Gerber frame-lock folder with aggressive serrated tanto blade for tough daily tasks.
A rugged folding knife with a serrated tanto blade of about 74 mm in 7Cr17MoV steel gives this model strong piercing ability and fast rope-cutting performance. We like how the Gerber Paraframe I keeps weight low while delivering dependable strength through its open-frame stainless handle. We recommend it for users who need a compact but assertive work knife. The serrations bite cleanly through cordage, the frame-lock adds safety, and the skeletonized handle reduces bulk. This knife suits outdoor carry, utility work, or as a robust everyday companion.

Description
This folder combines an open-frame stainless handle with a serrated tanto blade for confident control in demanding tasks. The blade shape excels at both piercing and slicing, and the partial serrations handle fibrous materials efficiently. I appreciate how the frame-lock engages firmly, giving a secure feel despite the low overall weight. With an overall length around 178 mm, blade length near 74 mm, closed length roughly 104 mm, and weight about 74 g, it stays light without sacrificing function.
The skeletonized stainless handle enhances grip while keeping the build slim in the pocket. I find the tanto tip especially useful for precise cuts, whether in outdoor scenarios or routine utility jobs.
Maintenance is simple: clean the serrations carefully, wipe the blade after moisture, and oil the pivot to maintain smooth opening. If you want a durable, lightweight folder with an assertive edge profile, this is a smart choice while stock remains.
