Rugged Opinel folding trekking knife with burgundy beech handle and secure Virobloc lock.
We carry this Opinel Trekking Burgundy for reliable performance on hikes, camp trips, or everyday tasks. It is a folding knife (No. 8) with an 85 mm stainless steel blade, a burgundy lacquered beech wood handle, Virobloc locking ring, and a thin leather lanyard.
It handles most cutting demands with ease and resists rust well in damp conditions. It is not a heavy duty blade for chopping or batoning large wood.
From years of trail use this kind of knife is exactly what you want when you need something versatile and lightweight in your pack.

Description
I have used many pocket knives in wet forests, muddy campsites, and around the kitchen when cooking outdoors. The Opinel Trekking Burgundy stands out because it balances elegance, simplicity, and utility. The 85 mm stainless blade holds an edge well, cleans easily, and tolerates moisture without deteriorating quickly. The burgundy beech handle feels warm in hand, offers decent grip, and the lanyard gives me that extra reach when I don’t want to drop it or lay it down on damp ground.
The Virobloc locking ring gives safety both when the knife is closed (preventing accidental opening) and when open securing the blade during use. At 195 mm overall length when open and weighing only 45 g, it is light enough to carry in a pack or even a pocket without feeling bulk. To maintain peak performance I dry it thoroughly after rain, oil the pivot occasionally, and sharpen it with a fine stone stainless steel makes care easier.
Imagine waking before dawn, preparing breakfast on a log, slicing vegetables, opening packages, cutting cords this blade feels right in those moments. If you want a reliable companion for trekking or everyday outdoors, this is one you’ll reach for often.
