Øyo fixed-blade scout knife built for safety for young adventurers with reliable materials.
We take pride in offering tools that teach responsibility in the outdoors. The Øyo Scout Knife is a fixed-blade tool made with standard steel blade and an 80 mm cutting edge, with a blunt tip to reduce stab risk. It includes a beechwood handle and a leather sheath in green, secured with a button.
It is ideal for scouting, learning proper knife handling, or simple tasks around camp, though not meant for heavy batoning or prying.
From years of guiding youth trips I know that a well-designed beginner’s knife can build confidence this one does.

Description
I’ve handled many knives meant for beginners and the Øyo Scout Knife gets the basics right. The 80 mm standard steel blade holds a sharp edge and is quite easy to resharpen with basic tools. Standard steel isn’t stainless, so it will require drying and oiling after use to avoid rust. The tip is deliberately blunted which adds safety, especially with younger users.
The beechwood handle feels warm in the hand, has natural grip even when wet, but won’t resist abuse like synthetic handles do. The overall length is 170 mm and weight around 82 g, which makes it light enough to carry comfortably. The sheath is genuine leather in green, with a button flap that keeps the knife safe during transport.
Imagine sitting by a campfire teaching knots, peeling sticks for kindling, or slicing fruit for lunch – this knife gives you enough cutting power without being intimidating. Because standard steel dulls faster, carry a small sharpening stone if you're off-grid.
If you want a dependable, safe first knife that balances quality and approachability, this is a solid choice. Order soon while stock remains.
