Gerber folding cleaver knife with robust blade, frame lock, and pocket clip.
We know a folding knife must balance strength with control. The Gerber Flatiron Folding Green is a cleaver-style folding knife built with a 216 mm overall length, 159 g weight, and frame lock. The blade opens one-handed, and the pocket clip keeps it secure on your gear. Its size makes it excellent for camp cooking or heavier cutting jobs, though it is not the lightest option for daily carry.
I once used the Flatiron during a fishing trip, and the broad blade was perfect for slicing through thick rope without slipping.

Description
I appreciate the solid build of the Gerber Flatiron Folding Green. At 216 mm overall length and 159 g, it feels sturdy without being overwhelming. The cleaver-style blade gives a straight edge that bites deep into food, wood shavings, or cord. The stainless steel back handle with strong pocket clip means I can carry it securely, and the front handle has a textured look with visible screws that give grip. Folded, the knife remains compact enough for a pocket while offering the strength of a small fixed blade when open.
The frame lock gives confidence when cutting with force. I find this knife works especially well at camp, where preparing food or trimming kindling benefits from the wide blade face. It is not the lightest knife, but its strength and control more than make up for it.
I picture pulling this knife out during a fishing trip, the cleaver blade ready for filleting or gear prep. If you want a knife that combines folding convenience with cleaver strength, I recommend getting this model before stock runs out.
