Gerber fixed hunting knife with 76 mm blade, full tang build, and secure thumb rest for control.
We know a hunting knife should be light, strong, and easy to handle. The Gerber Downwind Caper Black FB carries a 76 mm stainless blade in a full tang construction, weighing only 74 g. At 181 mm overall length, it is compact yet reliable, designed with a thumb rest for controlled cuts.
I have used similar knives when skinning game and trimming wood for campfires, and the extra thumb support makes a real difference in precision.

Description
I like the Gerber Downwind Caper because it is built for hunters and bushcraft users who value control. The 76 mm blade length is long enough for skinning and detailed work, yet compact for close handling. At 181 mm overall length and just 74 g, it feels light in the hand without losing balance.
The full tang construction gives confidence in strength, and the lanyard hole allows for added retention when working in wet or cold conditions. The thumb rest on the blade spine helps with fine movements, whether caping game or preparing kindling. I can picture myself by the fire using it to cleanly prepare tinder for a steady flame.
This knife is a smart choice for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts who need precision in a compact package. Stocks are limited, so it makes sense to add one to your kit while available.
