I like the My First Victorinox – Dolphin because it balances safety and real function. The 65 mm blade has a rounded tip so children can cut without risk of stabbing, and the lock keeps it from folding during use. At 75 mm closed and only 45 g, it is easy to carry and light in the pocket.
The 7 tools are well chosen: rounded blade, saw for light wood, bottle opener, small screwdriver, toothpick, tweezers, and keyring. The red handle is bright and easy to spot. The included neck strap ensures it stays close, and the coloring book adds an element of fun for younger children.
I remember teaching with a similar rounded Victorinox. The moment a child manages to cut a stick on their own, the pride is unforgettable. This knife makes that moment possible while keeping safety first. If you want a safe way to start your child’s outdoor journey, this is a model to secure while available.
