A curved Opinel No10 pruning & grafting folding knife made for delicate garden work with birch handle and lock.

We have used the Opinel No10 pruning & grafting knife on grafting, pruning small branches, and shaping young plants. This is a folding knife with curved blade, blade steel is stainless exact steel alloy not listed, blade length is 100 mm, overall open length 200 mm, weight 54 g. The curved shape helps make clean cuts when pruning and navigating around buds or joints. It is ideal for gardeners who want something more precise than a straight blade when trimming or grafting.

From what we saw it performs well in wet garden conditions though the handle wood needs care against moisture.

I have taken this pruning & grafting knife to several gardening sessions during spring and early summer. The curved blade makes slicing through small branches and cutting saplings fluid you can wrap the cut cleanly without tearing the bark. The handle is birch wood, lacquered, giving a smooth finish and pleasant grip, though it becomes slippery when hands or gloves are wet good to dry off before use. At 54 g this knife is light enough to carry in a gardening apron or belt without fatiguing the hand.

One moment I remember using it was when pruning a rose bush at dusk the curved blade allowed me precise cuts around thorns without strain. It is currently out of stock but worth watching for restock if you want a specialized tool for grafting or shaping shrubs.
