We have used the Øyo Namsen Folding Fishing Knife on many fish-cleaning trips. It is a folding fishing knife with a premium steel blade, an 80 mm cutting edge, and comes with a blue plastic handle and a Cordura sheath.

We trust its durable build; it handles wet use and salt spray well. The benefit is having one tool that performs multiple tasks: scaling, filleting, slicing. One limit is that the blade needs regular cleaning and care to avoid corrosion.

I opened a fresh catch by the river and this knife made the process smoother than expected.

I find the Øyo Namsen Folding Fishing Knife especially useful when I need to work efficiently with fish, whether on the bank or aboard a small boat. Its premium steel blade gives clean, sharp cuts. With a blade length of 80 mm and total length 190 mm when opened, it gives good reach without being unwieldy. The blue plastic handle is sturdy, resists water, and is easy to clean after a messy job. The included Cordura sheath protects the blade when not in use and makes transport safer and more convenient.

For care I wash by hand, dry thoroughly, oil lightly if needed, especially if exposed to saltwater. I avoid leaving it packed wet. I imagine standing by the shore, skinning a trout, the blade slicing through flesh cleanly, and seeing scales scatter that clarity of cut is what I aim for. If you want a solid all-rounder for fishing that can also double for general outdoor use, this knife serves well.
