Helle Jegermester

117,50 €

A serious hunting blade from Helle built for precision field work and outdoor durability.

We have carried many knives in woodland and mountain terrain and know what it takes to do the job right. The Helle Jegermester is a fixed blade knife with blade length 136 mm and total length 253 mm. It weighs 150 g. It features a finger stop for safer cutting and comes with a handmade leather sheath.

This knife is made for the discriminating hunter. It excels in hunting tasks but is also highly capable in bushcraft or as a scout knife. It is not designed for heavy axe-like chopping or prying work.

I have taken the Helle Jegermester on multiple hunts and have come to rely on its solid build. The blade offers precision and strength in skinning and dressing game. The finger stop prevents slips when cutting near joints or bones, which gives confidence in wet or slick conditions. The knife feels balanced in hand thanks to the 150 g weight and extended handle.

The leather sheath is well-made and protects the blade nicely. As with all leather, I treat it with oil or balm occasionally to prevent drying or cracking. I do wish the knife held just a bit more blade flatness for batoning, but that is asking more than its design intends.

Picture yourself sitting beside a fire after dusk cleaning fish or preparing game with this knife in hand. It cuts cleanly and feels like a trusted companion outdoors. If you want a hunting knife that delivers precision and reliability you should consider the Helle Jegermester while stock lasts.
