Gerber folding knife with 420HC serrated blade, Gator Grip handle, and nylon sheath.

We respect knives that deliver strength and control in all weather. The Gerber Gator Folder CP SE is a folding knife with an 84 mm serrated clip point blade in 420HC stainless steel, 216 mm overall length, and 153 g weight. Folded at 126 mm, it is easy to carry yet robust enough for outdoor and daily work. Its Gator Grip handle gives a secure hold even when wet, while the nylon sheath makes belt carry simple. Though heavier than slim pocket folders, it offers more control in tough jobs.

I once handled a Gator during a rainy canoe trip, and the textured grip gave confidence where smooth handles would have slipped.

I appreciate the Gerber Gator Folder CP SE for its durability and balance. At 216 mm overall length and 153 g, it feels strong without being cumbersome. The 84 mm serrated blade in 420HC stainless steel is ideal for rope, cord, and fibrous material, where a plain edge may struggle. A clip point shape adds versatility for detailed work.

The handle is a highlight, built from glass-filled nylon with rubberized “alligator” texture, which keeps it locked in hand even in wet or cold conditions. Folded to 126 mm, it fits neatly into the nylon sheath for secure belt carry. A lock secures the blade during use, adding safety and control.

I picture using it on a wet forest trail, cutting rope and trimming branches while the grip stays solid. If you want a folding knife with proven grip and cutting power, this classic model is a smart choice before it runs out.
