Buck Hexam 261 folding knife with button lock, deep-carry clip, and 85 mm blade for versatile EDC use.

We know that a good EDC knife must be safe, versatile, and ready for quick use. The Buck 261 Hexam features an 85 mm blade, a total length of 215 mm, and weighs 122 g, giving it strength without losing portability. Its folded length of 130 mm makes it easy to carry, while the button lock provides secure and simple handling.

The knife opens smoothly by flipper or thumb grooves, and the deep-carry pocket clip keeps it discreet on the go. It is not designed for chopping wood, but for daily cutting tasks and outdoor chores, it is highly effective.

I once carried the Hexam during a weekend trip, and it proved itself from slicing food to trimming cord around camp.

I value the Buck 261 Hexam because it blends modern safety with everyday reliability. Its 85 mm blade provides enough reach for outdoor and daily tasks, while the 215 mm overall size feels balanced in hand without being oversized. At 122 g, it has a reassuring weight yet still carries comfortably with the deep-carry clip.

The button lock makes opening and closing secure and simple, holding firm during use and releasing cleanly with a press. I also like the choice of deployment either the quick flipper or the steady thumb grooves depending on the situation. The handle design, with its deep finger cutout, offers solid control for precise work.

I once relied on the Hexam during a weekend trip, using it to cut rope, prepare food, and handle camp chores without issue. It is not built for heavy woodwork, but as a versatile folding knife for both pocket carry and outdoor use, it stands out. For those wanting a safe, modern EDC knife, the Hexam is a smart choice before it sells out.
